Master Carpenter
GENERAL POSITION INFORMATION:
Reports To: Project Manager
Schedule: Typically 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday
Compensation: Hourly
Benefits: Accrual Based PTO, Paid Holidays

ROLE SUMMARY: As a Master Carpenter your experience and attention to quality standards are a few of your best assets. You will be asked to create efficient building techniques through your work. A great combination of excellent craftsman, problem solver and collaborator. As part of the field team you will be helping to teach and to learn when called on.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS PROFILE:
Physical abilities must include manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, a good sense of balance to work on ladders and scaffolding as well as the ability to lift and carry heavy objects such as cabinets, doors, panels, beams and other materials
Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately
Tool kit appropriate to level of experience
Reliable vehicle for organized transport of tools and commute to job site

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to perform and teach up to Journeyman Level carpentry
Ability to layout and install complex rooms with paneling, beams, coffers, columns, etc.
Install hidden storage shelving and doors
Install any type of crown molding
Layout/install any type of door, window and decorative moldings
Build complex cabinets
Layout/fabricate/install radius pieces
Fabricate moldings
Advanced & diverse knowledge of hardware
Fabricate stair parts and install complicated stairways including scissor, winder, curved, etc. (for stair carpenters)
Wood bending experience
Ability to teach up to Journeyman level
Quality pacesetter for Nine Thirteen in efficiency and level of work

Layout and install coffered ceilings
Install basic stair, stringers, skirts, treads, risers, mouldings, straight handrails, baluster layouts
Build simple cabinets including doors & drawer installation
Layout and install complex columns and beams (recessed/raised panels, decorative mouldings)
Ability to teach up to Support Carpenter level
