SUPPORT CARPENTER
GENERAL POSITION INFORMATION:
Reports To: Lead Carpenter
Schedule: Typically 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday through Friday
Compensation: Hourly
Benefits: Accrual Based PTO, Paid Holidays, Monthly Tool Stipend ($100 a month for personal tool purchases)

ROLE SUMMARY: As a support carpenter you will be executing and building upon your current skills. This position is a vital part of our team with commitment to quality and finding a rhythm and efficiency to your work. It is your responsibility to not only complete the required technical skills but to do so in the required project timeline.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS PROFILE:
Physical abilities must include manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, a good sense of balance to work on ladders and scaffolding as well as the ability to lift and carry heavy objects such as cabinets, doors, panels, beams and other materials
Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately
Tool kit appropriate to level of experience
Reliable vehicle for organized transport of tools and commute to job site

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install all types of basic interior doors
Case doors and windows
Install 1 piece crown mouldings
Install 1 piece baseboards
Install 2 piece casings
Layout and install basic applied panels
Prep opening and install simple entry door units
Install basic built-ins
Install basic door and cabinet hardware
Install bath accessories
Install T&G and shiplap ceilings/walls
Layout and Install basic closet systems
Layout and install simple columns and beams
Ability to successfully teach apprentices
